It gives me great pleasure to reach out to you through this website on behalf of St. Joseph's MPHW Training Nursing School (Female) I consider it a privilege and honor to introduce about our institution. In the year 1932 we the congregation of Sisters (JMJ) Jesus Mary Joseph started with a Nobel mission of alleviating the pain of the sick and need as well as to uplift the poor young girls who are backward in the education.


Education plays a key role in the overall development of the society. Our school of nursing cares for the individual development of each and every student. This institution offers 2 years of diploma course in registered nursing and midwifery.


Our ANM course provides high achieving undergraduate students the opportunity to extent themselves intellectually and clinically, there by rendering quality care to the general public through our hospital and community services .we offers a range of extracurricular activities including, sports, cultural events & community services projects . These activities help students to develop leadership skills, team work and a sense of social responsibility.

Objectives and Activities

Objectives

  • To provide basic health facilities to the people of Nellore and surrounding areas.
  • Providing comprehensive health services to the people under our jurisdiction.
  • To develop the qualities of individual, mental capacity in the young trainees and prepare item to become competent medical personnel.
  • To develop competence in trainees to realize the values laid down in health training activities
  • To teach and practice healthy principles.
  • To provide mutual cooperation to other medical personnel and agencies, to participate in disease prevention and health welfare programs and other developmental activities.
  • To enable trainees to achieve self-sufficiency and live independently after completion of their training period.
  • To be aware of the rights of others and to have a good conscience in recognizing his responsibility towards his job, towards his fellow servants, towards his country.
  • To recognize and serve the Lord Jesus, the Divine Healer, in every person who is in need and in danger.

Activities

  • Community posting at rural& urban centers.
  • Teaching the current technology like operating computer.
  • Conducting awareness programs world aids day, breast feeding week, world sick day, T.B day etc.
  • Conducting health education programmes at community area & in the hospital.
  • Recognization on important days like international nurses day, sports day and international women's day.

Criteria for Admissions

  • Minimum age for admission 17 years.
  • Maximum age for admission 35 years.
  • Education required 12th standard of any group.
  • Candidate should be fit medically.
